Best Ball Style Tournament – 18 Hole par 3 (two par 5)

In a round of best ball golfers will be grouped into 4-member teams and will compete together against the other teams in the field. Only one ball – and thus one score – counts per hole for each team and the team with the lowest total score for the round wins the tournament.

Each golfer hits his/her own ball throughout the round but after each stroke, only the best ball amongst the team members is used for subsequent strokes.

Once a club is used for a stroke, all players must use the same piece of equipment for that stroke. Once that piece of equipment is used for that hole, it is not available again until the next hole.

The use of the hockey stick is for putting ONLY.

Equipment rules

• Number of clubs: Players are limited to 7
  • (1) Nerf Football
  • (1) Hockey Stick (Putter)
  • (1) Baseball Bat
  • (1) Frisbee
  • (1) Tennis Racket
  • (1) Soccer Ball
  • (1)Lacrosse stick
• Club composition: Use it & Lose It per Hole!
• Club replacement: Players can replace damaged clubs if they don't delay play.
• Sharing clubs: Players can share clubs with other golfers…Organizers ask that 2 full bags are available per team

Penalties for breaking equipment rules

• In stroke play, players add two strokes to their score for breaking equipment rules.

Other rules

• Players must use a standard golf ball.
• All equipment will be inspected so that no equipment gives the team an unfair advantage.
• Players must play a ball if they lose their ball within five minutes of starting a search.
• Players must take a penalty stroke if their ball goes out of bounds.
• Mulligans and putting “strings” will be available for purchase at the event
